At Norton House Country Club, we offer a fully catered event venue that is perfect for your next special occasion. Our club is a popular choice for weddings, christenings, birthdays, and funeral wakes. We provide full catering and a fully stocked bar, so you can sit back, relax and let us take care of everything.

Weddings

We have a beautiful function room and gardens for you to help celebrate your special day

The function room is exclusive to you with the added use of the garden and grounds. The room is free to all members and a small cost to non-members. We offer a wide range of catering to suit your needs. See the menu section below for options. We also have a fully stocked bar to help you toast the bride and groom.

We pride ourselves on our versatility to meet your requirements. Wedding menus can be amended to suit your needs and we try wherever possible to be flexible on pricing. So whether you are looking for something lavish or something to suit your budget we can tailor your package to suit your exact requirements, giving your wedding a personal yet professional touch. It is important that a venue reflects yourselves as a couple, to ensure that together we create a unique wedding day. 

Funeral Wakes

Coming to terms with the loss of a loved one is something we all experience at some stage in our lives. As well as coping with the grief there is also the added burden of arranging refreshments for family and friends at short notice.

​We have a vast experience in providing catering and facilities for funeral receptions and wakes. ​We offer a sympathetic venue and discreet staff whatever your requirements. From a simple buffet to a full wake or just somewhere to reflect with friends and family. We will endeavour to provide a fitting occasion to ensure your loved one will be remembered with dignity. 

Other Special Occasions

If you're celebrating a special birthday, christening, Christmas party, disco, or corporate events, we have the venue for you.  Our main room can cater for up to 100 guests, has a well-stocked bar and we will even provide the catering.  The function room is free of charge to all members and at a small cost to non-members. We allow children's birthday parties up to age of 10 and 21st Birthdays or above.

Venue Hire Conditions

Room Hire and Catering:

  1. Venus hire is free for members with over 12 months of membership.

  2. You must be a fully paid up member before and on the day of the event.

  3. Room hire is £25 per hour for non-members.

  4. The basic £75 deposit is payable in full when requested and is refundable within 7 days of the function taking place providing the booking conditions have been met. This arrangement is totally separate to wedding package & other deposits which are not refundable.

  5. The maximum number of guests permitted is 120 and the minimum number for a Saturday booking is 60. A surcharge to cover staff may be applied if fewer than 60 people attend on the day without warning.

  6. Usage is limited to the function room and buffet room. Access to other areas of the Club, except the toilets and garden, is prohibited. Children leaving the function room for any reason must be accompanied by an adult. The Club complies with the recommendations contained in the Children's Charter.

  7. The Club will not be open prior to the starting time as booked. Access to the Club beforehand for decorating and/or DJ set up will only be possible by prior arrangement with the Steward or Secretary.

  8. Under NO circumstances should anything be fixed to the wallpaper. Party poppers, confetti etc. are NOT allowed but "champagne bubbles" are permitted.

  9. We allow children's birthday parties up to age of 10 and 21st birthdays or above.

  10. Due to our location, music volume must always be reasonable and any guests (including children) in the grounds must return to the function room at 10 p.m. Guests are also requested to leave the premises quietly at the end of the night.

  11. Function hosts will be asked to deal with any guests who behave inappropriately or try to smoke indoors (inc. e-cigs). The Member or Hirer must be present and is responsible for any damage caused to Norton House Country Club, or the furnishings, utensils and equipment therein, by malicious act or default of the Member or Hirer or their guests, and shall pay Norton House Country Club, on demand, the amount required to make good or remedy any such damage.

  12. A member of the Executive Committee has the authority to access any function to see the Member or Hirer who must be in attendance until the function terminates.

  13. Any catering must be purchased through the club. We do not allow outside catering. No drinks or food whatsoever may be brought into the Club for consumption on the premises by Members or Hirers of the Club, or their guests. The only exception permitted is a celebratory cake.

  14. Payment in full for catering and notification of the number of guests is due two weeks before the function. Please note that we will not cater for less than 90% of the total number attending. ï»¿ï»¿We reserve the right to substitute any items of food with a similar product of a similar price without notice, should the ordered item or product be unsatisfactory or unavailable. Food will be available for a maximum of 2 hours

  15. We are not responsible for any food shortages as a result of under ordering.
