THE PRESIDENT’S DINNER 2026 – WHAT A NIGHT!
Well, what a fantastic evening at Norton House Country Club!
A warm welcome, a room that looked absolutely amazing and wonderful to see everyone dressed to impress. You certainly scrub up well!
We enjoyed a superb three-course meal, followed by some rather taxing Dingbats that certainly got the brains working and everyone talking!
There was, of course, a rather good President’s speech (well, I thought so! ), some brilliant entertainment from the legendary Paul Ballington, and a fantastic sing-along to our very own club song!
Then came the Taskmaster Table Challenge, which produced some truly magnificent President’s Ceremonial Hats. Some impressive creativity on display, although I'm not sure any of them will be making an appearance at Royal Ascot!
Our charity raffle raised a brilliant £350 for Macmillan Cancer Support 💚 Thank you to everyone who donated prizes, bought tickets and supported such a worthy cause.
Throw in some great dancing tunes, plenty of laughter and one final question...
Did anyone get home and discover a mysterious peg attached to their clothing?
A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise, prepare and deliver such a wonderful evening, and especially to everyone who came along, supported the event and joined in the fun.
It's evenings like these that remind us what a special club we have.
So, the big question is... shall we do it all again next year?
