The Return of the Norton Putter 2026
After a long-awaited return, the Norton Putter was back on Sunday 31st May at Lees Hall Golf Club, and what a fantastic day it turned out to be. With 24 golfers, glorious sunshine and enough questionable handicaps to spark debate well into next season, the stage was set for another memorable day. There were booming drives, miraculous recoveries from the trees, putts that defied all logic and enough lost golf balls from some of our younger players to significantly boost the va

Shark Alert
Friday night at Norton Country Club saw the launch of its very first Texas Hold’em - and thankfully, it was finally something different from bingo! Members swapped dabbers for poker chips as the room filled with laughter, friendly rivalry, and the occasional dramatic sigh when a “guaranteed winning hand” suddenly wasn’t so guaranteed after all. New friendships were made, old rivalries were reignited, and there was enough bluffing going on to rival an acting in Neighbours Aft

We thought it might help improve attendance and maybe

Honouring Over 30 Years of Service
At this year’s AGM, we said a very special thank you to Jim Harrison for his outstanding service to Norton House Country Club. Jim has been a member of the club for more years than most of us can remember and has played an active role in the running of the club for over 30 years. During that time, he has served as a valued member of the Executive Committee and as one of the club’s four trustees. This year, Jim has chosen not to stand again for the Executive Committee, and it

We’d like to remind all members that membership cards are strictly for individual use and must not be shared with friends or family. Any misuse, including the use of another member’s card, may result in the card being confiscated while the committee reviews the situation. Lending cards to non-members is unfair to others and undermines the integrity of the club. To help ensure fairness, we will be carrying out additional checks on membership cards and guests.
