Norton House Country Club

Renew for 2026/2027

Dear Member,
Thank you for your continued support of Norton House Country Club. The club relies on its members, and your involvement helps keep it active, welcoming and financially secure.
For more than 80 years, the club has been part of the local community. Generations have come through its doors to meet friends, celebrate milestones and enjoy social activities. From Saturday night dancing in the main room to weekday coffee mornings, from quiz nights and bingo to watching live sport in the Chantrey Bar, the club continues to bring people together.
At a time when many pubs and clubs are facing rising running costs, Norton House Country Club remains in a stable position. Through careful management and strong member support, we are pleased to confirm that membership will remain frozen at £50 per member for the coming year.
We continue to manage bar pricing carefully to keep members’ discounted prices as low as practically possible, while protecting the long-term sustainability of the club. There are not many pubs locally where you can enjoy a cheaper drink simply by being a member, and we are committed to keeping that benefit in place.
Annual Membership: £50 per member
Membership provides access to the club and its facilities, members’ bar prices, voting rights and participation in the wide range of activities and events held throughout the year.
Investment in the Club
Over the past year, the club has continued to invest back into the building and facilities. From last year’s income, £25,000 has been invested in brand-new fire doors and a new fire alarm system, following recommendations from a Fire Service audit.
We have also invested in new kitchen equipment, helping us retain our 5-star food hygiene rating, and plans are progressing to refurbish both the ladies’ and gents’ toilet facilities.
In addition, brand-new furniture is being installed in the Chantrey Bar to improve comfort and enhance your overall experience when using the club.
Roof Project
Essential work is now required on the club roof to protect the building and secure its future.
The total investment required is currently estimated at £25,000. The club has sufficient savings to fund this work, and it will go ahead. However, using these reserves will significantly reduce our “rainy day” fund, which protects the club against unexpected costs or difficult trading periods.
Alongside your renewal, you may wish to make a voluntary contribution towards the Roof Project Fund. Any additional amount, £10, £25, £50 or more, will help rebuild reserves following the roof works.
Please note:
-
Any additional contribution is entirely voluntary.
-
Membership is not affected if you choose not to contribute.
-
All contributions will be ring-fenced for this purpose.
-
Any support members feel able to give will help strengthen the club’s position and ensure Norton House Country Club continues to thrive for years to come.
-
Thank you again for being a member. We look forward to another year at the club.
Yours sincerely,
Andy Phipps
