Darts Team Finishes Inaugural Season

The Darts team ended up 14th out of 20 in their inaugural season.

After a dependable start, we had a barren 3-month spell where we picked up only one point which coincided with internal upheaval as a couple of players left for pastures new.

But a combination of grit and a coming together (Late night drinking sessions) improved harmony within the team, with some of the fringe players coming to the fore.

We may have won only 6 matches but we had more draws than anyone else with 11. A lot of missed opportunities but good fun.

Paul Reeve ended up being our top ranked player 34th, ably supported by Carl Rodgers at 57th (out of 260 players).

180s went to Paul, both the Church Boys and the Jailbird. We ended up being the top ranked new team in the League.

The team sprung a cup upset last week by beating the Red Lion 4-1, and now progress to the 2nd Rd to face a very good Prince of Wales.

It's very much against all odds but who knows?
